Run with Purpose at the Positive Pursuits 5K on August 19th
If you or someone you know has been affected by cancer, then you know how important it is to provide the resources and research cancer patients and their medical teams need in order to achieve positive outcomes. That’s exactly why Positive Deposits exists, and why it hosts the Positive Pursuits 5K.
Positive Deposits provides community messaging and outreach to improve the lives of cancer patients and survivors, and it also raises funds for organizations like The Ora Lee Cancer Research Foundation. That’s where a portion of your registration fee will go when you sign up for the 5K on Friday, August 19th. Feel free to run or walk the course along the Anacostia River Trail, surrounded by beautiful Mother Nature even within the confines of the city. If you prefer to bike, on August 20th, there’s a 20K ride that will suit your preferences. But don’t feel like you have to choose one or another! You’re welcome to sign up for both and enjoy an entire weekend of recreation in the name of a good cause.
